Mike Weaner
President and Senior Consultant
Mike has over three decades of experience providing a personalized, results-oriented approach to delivering IT and business consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses. Both as president of Comprehensive Data Services, and earlier as owner of the Micro Systems Engineering Company, Mike has served as an IT and network consultant, engineer, classroom instructor, subject matter expert on technical training and industry certification programs, and a variety of other advisory roles where command of both technology and business is needed.
Active in his community—he serves on the board of Feed Lucas County Children and as a Boy Scouts troop leader, has coached soccer and chess, and not content to be a spectator, has a history of sticking his nose into whatever else his kids are involved with.
Mike studied political science at Carleton College and earned a BA in Business and Management at Defiance College. He holds a number of technical certifications from CTIA, Microsoft, HP, Watchguard and other industry leaders.
When Mike’s not watching over our clients’ systems, he can be found reading, cooking, puttering around the house, and gearing up for his next try at getting on Jeopardy!
Linda Rutter
Business Manager
Linda has over 20 years of experience managing CDS’ Office Operations. She works directly with clients in accounting detail and provides inside customer service logistics. Linda also maintains partnership contract and compliancy administrations with industry leaders such as Hewlett Packard, Microsoft & Watchguard Technologies.
Active in her community, Linda serves as President of Gleaner Life Insurance’s Stateline Arbor, organizing support to charities such as Local 4-H Groups, Feed Lucas County Children, Mom’s House & Salvation Army.
Outside of her office duties, Linda plays the role of ‘Sports Mom’ cheering on her son as he plays hockey & attending her daughters’ gymnastic meets & softball games, along with her husband Fred.
Christopher Berlanga
Network Support
Three years with Comprehensive Data Services, CTIA A+ certified technician, pursuing both Security+ and Network+ certifications. Associates degree in Information Technology/Computer Networking from ITT Technical Institute where Chris Graduated as President of Chapter Technical Honor Society.
Responsible for basic network/server and security administration and setup, desktop configuration setup and support, security monitoring and management on servers and desktops, printer support, router and wireless configuration and setup, vpn, client interactions and solutions, problem solving, hardware service, help desk support both remotely and in person.
