Almost 30 years ago, as the Internet was just becoming available and almost no one had an email address (if you did have one, you didn’t have anyone to email to), we printed and MAILED a regular newsletter called Executive Computing. There might be a few people reading this today who remember it. We published that for many years – and it was a great way to keep people up to date on technology, as well as on our firm and how it could help other businesses.
Then came email for everyone. Executive Computing was time-consuming and expensive to put out; email was cheap and easy – and new. Everyone was reading their emails, all of them (doesn’t seem possible, does it?). Good-bye Executive Computing. Hello regular email newsletters.
Then came overfull email boxes and spam filters. Many of your Inboxes became harder to reach, even if you wanted to hear from us. And like us, many of you got dozens, even hundreds of emails per day and just stopped reading a lot of them. So, in a “back to the future” decision, we will be returning to a printed and mailed newsletter in our next publication cycle. That’s why this is “The Last Time You’ll Hear from Me” – not forever (you’re not that lucky) – just not in this way. And we’ll still be emailing, just not the newsletter.
If you’re a client, and/or have opened one of the last three issues of this newsletter, or we have some other on-going business relationship, you’ll receive the printed newsletter automatically. You don’t need to do anything.
But if you’re not sure and don’t want to miss a new and improved, jam-packed issue, send us a message here, confirm/include your mailing address, and that you’d like to receive the print newsletter. We’ll happily add you to the list if you’re not already on it. We’ll also be doing some different things with our Facebook going forward, so if you haven’t Liked us there yet please do!
